This is sort of a late post since the International Women’s Day was about 20 days ago. But nevertheless, here goes my reflection on the IWD 2021 pledge this year. #ChooseToChallenge has sparked interesting conversations because as we challenge the gender bias, inequality and non-inclusion aspects of the system and life, it also forces us to think about the kind of questions we are asking. We often question the ‘what’ and hold the ‘who’ accountable for things that happen ‘when’ and ‘where’ — but that is only the tip of the iceberg.

If we’re experiencing stress physically or emotionally or spiritually or mentally — it’s an evidence that something within has to change. But that should not be the only reason why people look for coaches. Often, there’s always a crisis (internal or external) that forces us to relook into our lives — the decisions we’ve made and the choices we’re expected to make. But coaching can be a superpower that we can tap on, to unleash much bigger impact even before a crisis hits us.

Since the time CoVID crisis started to engulf us, the way work gets done is turning digital and the age of ‘going to the office’ to get things done, is slowly spinning out of the picture. So many times in my career as a Management Consultant, I have been tasked the daunting job to come up with the first cut draft of a narrative to present to the clients. This narrative could be in any form emphasising the product or service we were selling, or just zooming in on the problem at hand, or how we intended to solve the problem statement. Tromso, Norway

My partner and I had one of the amazing experiences travelling to Tromsø (Norway), the northern most city in the world. We flew all the way from Singapore and landed in Oslo on a late November evening of 2019. ‘Twas cool to visit the northernmost city, the northernmost aquarium, the northernmost university until it wasn’t.. we got used to the “northernmost” things in a couple of days time ;)
